From WRH to the World Stage: Team USA Women Bring Home Silver and Bronze
Team USA’s Junior and Senior Women are bringing home medals from the 2026 World Skate Games in Asunción, Paraguay, and we couldn’t be prouder to see so many familiar faces representing our country.

The Junior Women earned silver, putting together a strong tournament that included a 14–2 quarterfinal win over India and an 8–0 semifinal victory over Argentina. They fell 4–0 to Spain in the championship game, finishing second in the world.

The Senior Women brought home bronze, finishing with a 5–3 victory over Namibia. After falling to Namibia in overtime during pool play and Spain in the semifinals, the team regrouped and earned its place on the podium.
For our WRH community, watching these teams compete felt personal. Many of these athletes have played in our events, sharing benches, building friendships and competing alongside the same players they would later join in a Team USA jersey.
That connection is a big part of why we do what we do. WRH events serve as scouting opportunities for Team USA, giving players a chance to showcase their skills while helping raise funds for the Junior and Senior Women’s programs.
These teams are fully self-funded. Behind every medal is a significant commitment from athletes and their families to cover the cost of representing their country. Our fundraising helps ease that burden, but our long-term mission is bigger: to help build a future where both teams have full financial support.
Every player, sponsor, volunteer and supporter who takes part in WRH helps move that mission forward.
Congratulations to both teams and their coaches and staff. We’re proud to celebrate your accomplishments and keep working toward a stronger future for women’s roller hockey.
